The permit applicant maintained that the planning authority response was flawed and unjustifed given that there are many structures within and outside the City Of Yarra that are similar to the permit applicant proposal. One such structure is pictured here, only a block or so from Yarra City Offices.
The planning authority said this about the applicant proposal:
"The design of the screening device is considered to make a mockery of orderly planning as there are clearly other design options available from screening the first floor living room which does not involve construction of such a high screen."
