DESCRIPTION: The three-storey residential which overlooks the permit applicant dwelling is pictured here. Next to this apartment block is a mechanic's garage which according to the permit applicant is not affected by heritage overlay issues.. The permit applicant argued that the planning authority's notice of refusal for the proposed screening device on the grounds that it would constitute a "featureless wall" was inconsistent with it's own planning history, given that the building across the road from the permit applicant dwelling largely consists of a massive featureless three-storey wall at the facade.
